When launching an analysis in VarSome Clinical from FastQ files, the user needs to select the assay used to sequence the sample.
Some library preparation kits use Unique Molecular Identifiers (UMIs), a type of molecular barcoding that enables error correction and improves sequencing accuracy. These assays require specific handling on the bioinformatics side to ensure proper UMI wise processing.
We have developed tailored solutions to effectively manage UMIs in the following scenarios:
- Paragon (including Paragon CleanPlex UMI Lung Cancer Panel)
- Agilent SureSelectXT HS2 (including Agilent Cancer CGP and SureSelectXT Human All Exon V8 - Padded with UMIs)
- TWIST Unique Molecular Identifier (UMI) Adapter System.
